The weather cleared up last night so we decided to go to Zoo lights. We got online while McKenna was in the high chair finishing up dinner to check the hours. She saw a picture of the choo choo train all lit up and was so excited. She wanted me to go back to the page so she could see it again. I told her that we were going to go ride the choo choo and we didn't hear the end of it until we rode! All the way to the zoo, "Choo choo, Nenna, Choo Choo, Zoo, Choo Choo!." She was so excited. When she got out of the car she ran as fast as she could to the entrance.
Of course we brought the stroller, but she was either on daddy's shoulders or walking.
We finally made it to the train! We walked around the rest of the zoo first looking at lights and a few of the animals that were out. Of course the baby elephant was her favorite. When we got to the train (around 7:45), the line was sooooo long. But McKenna wasn't going to let us leave without riding on the train she had been talking about all night. They only had one train running because they thought it was going to rain, but it ended up being nice and there was a big crowd. McKenna was so patient in line, she kept saying, "wait, wait." A little girl in front of her said "I want to ride the train" and her mom said "We can't just go up to the front of the line." And McKenna said, "Wait, Wait." Telling the little girl she had to wait in line. Everytime the choo choo would come to pick up more people she would shout "Choo, Choo, Nenna, Choo choo, Nenna." When we finally go our chance to ride she had a great time.
