The Perfect Tree

McKenna watching daddy cut down the tree. She really wanted the saw, but we told her she has to be a lot older to help cut down the tree!

Here she is laying down on the mat to try and cut down the tree. She hasn't napped yet and was pretty tired. She looked like she might fall asleep right there! Then she tripped and fell like this and she just stayed there. She was trying to do a somersault, but couldn't get all of the way over. It was too funny.

Mckenna giving a tree a hug. I think she really wanted to take this tree home, but we couldn't cut anything under 5ft or daddy probally would have cut it for her!

That one right there!

So we went to the Christmas Tree Farm on Friday. We of course had to stop first at Helvetia Tavern and have the best burger and homemade fries and then on to find the perfect tree. We had lots of fun looking for just the right one and finally decided on one that I thought was too big. I've learned from past years that they always look bigger once you get them inside, but Brandon and Mckenna insisted that this was the perfect tree. We had hiked so far back and in to find our tree that once we cut it we drug it to the dirt roadway and they came by with a tractor and "choo choo train" to pick us up and take us back to the front. McKenna thought it was just great to ride on a choo choo train and didn't want to get off, but once we were off and went inside to pay she got to look at a big display of model trains that she loved.
When Mckenna woke up from her nap and saw it up for the first time she kept saying "wow, tree." It does look just perfect with all of the light and ornaments on.
